 CREAMY GARLIC SHRIMP CHOWDER

A rich, cozy, ultra-creamy chowder loaded with tender shrimp and deep garlic flavor. Perfect for chilly nights, cozy dinners, or anytime you need a warm bowl of comfort.



 Ingredients (Serves 4)


• 1 lb large shrimp, peeled & deveined

• 2 tbsp butter

• 1 tbsp olive oil

• 4 garlic cloves, minced

• 1 small onion, finely chopped

• ½ tsp smoked paprika

• ¼ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)

• Salt & cracked black pepper, to taste

• 2 cups seafood or chicken broth

• 1 cup heavy cream

• ½ cup whole milk

• ½ cup shredded sharp cheddar (optional)

• 2 tbsp all-purpose flour

• 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped

• Crusty bread, for serving


 How to Make It

 Sauté the aromatics


Heat butter and olive oil in a large pot.

Add garlic and onion; cook until soft and fragrant.


 Add spices


Stir in smoked paprika, red pepper flakes (if using), salt, and pepper.


 Build the creamy base


Sprinkle flour over the mixture and stir for 1 minute.

Slowly whisk in broth, heavy cream, and milk.

Simmer for 10 minutes until slightly thickened.


 Add shrimp


Drop in shrimp and cook for 4–5 minutes until pink and tender.

Stir in cheddar if using.


 Finish & serve


Ladle into bowls, top with parsley, and serve hot with crusty bread.
