Ingredients:
1 lb smoked sausage, sliced
1 lb chicken breast, cut into cubes
1 tbsp Cajun seasoning (adjust for heat preference)
3 cups chicken broth
1 cup heavy cream
12 oz pasta (penne or rigatoni)
1 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
Fresh parsley, for garnish
Instructions:
Cook the Sausage & Chicken: In a large pot over medium heat, sauté the sausage slices until browned. Add the chicken and Cajun seasoning, and cook until chicken is golden.
Add Broth & Pasta: Pour in the chicken broth, heavy cream, and pasta. Stir to combine. Cover and simmer on medium-low for about 12-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until pasta is tender and liquid has thickened.
Add the Cheese: Stir in the shredded Parmesan until creamy and melted.
Garnish & Serve: Top with fresh parsley and serve this comforting, spicy pasta hot!
Tip: Want it extra spicy? Add a pinch of cayenne or red pepper flakes when cooking the chicken!
