Creamy Garlic Chicken with Parmesan
Ingredients:
- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)
Directions:
-
Prepare the Chicken:
- Season the chicken breasts on both sides with salt and pepper. This will enhance the flavor and help make the chicken tasty.
-
Sear the Chicken:
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the chicken breasts and sear them for about 5-7 minutes on each side until they are golden brown and cooked through. The internal temperature should reach 165°F (75°C). Once cooked, remove the chicken from the skillet and set it aside.
-
Make the Creamy Sauce:
- In the same skillet, lower the heat to medium and add the minced garlic. Sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant, making sure it doesn't burn.
- Add the heavy cream to the skillet and bring it to a simmer. Stir occasionally and cook for 2-3 minutes until the cream thickens slightly.
- Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese and Italian seasoning. Let the sauce simmer for another 2-3 minutes, allowing it to become creamy and well-combined.
-
Finish the Dish:
- Return the seared chicken breasts to the skillet, spooning the creamy sauce over the top. Let it simmer for another 2-3 minutes, allowing the chicken to absorb the sauce and become even more flavorful.
-
Serve:
- Garnish with freshly chopped parsley for a pop of color and a fresh flavor. Serve with pasta, rice, or veggies for a complete meal.
